Who operates this site

Top10Reads (https://top10reads.com) is operated personally by Al Amin Siddique in Bangladesh. Send website enquiries, corrections and privacy requests to 0xaslamamin@gmail.com.

Contacting us

If you email us, we use your email address, message and any information you choose to supply to handle your enquiry or request. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. The mailbox is provided through Google Gmail; see Google’s privacy notice. There is currently no reader contact form or newsletter.

We review website-related correspondence monthly and delete resolved routine enquiries 12 months after closure. Necessary ongoing-request records may be kept while the matter remains unresolved. We retain a minimal editorial correction history while the affected article remains published, without including unnecessary correspondent details. This rule applies to website correspondence in the operator’s mailbox. Deletion from the mailbox does not promise immediate deletion from provider backups.

Hosting and technical records

Namecheap provides our shared cPanel hosting. We have not configured a separate CDN. Hosting is necessary to deliver the website and handle technical and security issues. Namecheap’s hosting documentation describes access logs containing IP addresses, request times and paths, response codes, referrers and browser/user-agent information. The exact retention and archiving settings for this account have not been verified, so we do not promise a fixed deletion period for these records.

Namecheap documents server-restoration backups and plan-dependent backup options. Backup retention depends on the hosting service and available backup configuration. We have not verified a fixed retention period for this account’s backup copies; removal of a record from an active system may precede removal from a backup. See Namecheap’s backup information and privacy policy.

Analytics and Google account settings

We use Google Analytics to understand visits and interactions with the site. Analytics can process identifiers, page activity, location-related and device/browser information. The property currently allows granular location and device data collection. Google receives network information when its service is contacted; see Google’s Analytics data safeguards and how Google uses information from partner sites.

Google Signals and user-provided data collection are not enabled in our checked property settings. The property allows ads personalisation in its regional setting, but has no Google Ads link or other completed Google product link in the checked link inventories. No advertising scripts or remarketing campaigns are deployed by this publication on the site.

The Analytics account enables modeling contributions and business insights, technical support access, and recommendations for the business. These respectively permit aggregated, de-identified measurement contributions, support access when needed, and use of account information for business recommendations. The Google products & services sharing option is unchecked and unavailable in the current account. See Google’s explanation of data-sharing settings.

Google Analytics is configured to retain event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months. Reset on new user activity is enabled, so new activity can extend user-data retention. Most standard aggregated reporting is not governed by these periods. These settings do not establish cookie lifetimes.

Cookies and your choices

Complianz provides Accept, Reject and Manage consent controls. Analytics is configured to wait for statistics consent. Use Manage consent to revisit your choice; your browser also provides controls for deleting or blocking stored cookies. Changing a choice does not itself promise erasure of data already sent to a provider.

Consent-related storage remembers preferences, including functional, preferences, statistics and marketing choices. The consent configuration sets a 365-day duration. A stored marketing preference does not mean advertising is installed. Google documents the _ga and _ga_<container-id> cookie families for visitor/session identification with a two-year default; that is the provider’s default, not a measured expiry for every visitor browser. See Google’s cookie documentation. WordPress may also use necessary cookies for administrative sign-in.

Comments, notifications and external links

Reader comments are disabled for new posts and closed on our currently published pages. WordPress pingbacks, trackbacks and outgoing link notifications remain enabled; these link-notification features are separate from reader comment forms. Our articles link to external sources with their own privacy practices. There are currently no advertising scripts or affiliate links deployed on the site.

Providers, locations and requests

The services identified above may process information outside Bangladesh. Namecheap and Google describe their processing in the provider notices linked above. The exact server location and transfer arrangements applicable to this hosting account have not been verified.

Contact the email above to ask about information held in connection with this publication, request access or correction, or seek deletion. We will assess requests under applicable requirements and explain relevant limits, including records needed for an ongoing matter. Please provide only the information necessary to identify your request.

Changes to this notice

We will review this notice when our practices change, including before introducing advertising, affiliate arrangements, new forms or materially different analytics uses.
