Top10Reads publishes researched, accessible reads for a general English-language audience. This policy explains how we select, check and correct our content.
Selection and rankings
Ranked lists contain ten entries. Each article explains its scope, selection criteria and important limitations. Article length serves the subject. Headlines must accurately reflect the content.
Subjective rankings reflect editorial judgment. When an order is based on a measurable fact, the article identifies the measure, source and relevant date. A subjective order is not a universal or objective verdict.
Research, authors and images
Material factual claims are checked against relevant sources, with preference for original research, official records and other primary material. We link evidence readers can inspect, check changing facts near publication and explain uncertainty.
Articles are credited to an identified author or to the publication. A publication byline does not imply a fictional individual or a team of reviewers. We do not invent staff, credentials, quotations, results, firsthand testing or personal experience.
Software can assist research, drafting and production. Its output is not evidence of firsthand experience and must be checked against the underlying sources.
Images must match their identified subjects and have documented usage rights. Captions distinguish photographs, conceptual illustrations and contextual views where relevant. Credits, licence links and transformation notices are retained as required; an illustrative image is not presented as evidence of a test we performed.
Independence and commercial disclosures
Top10Reads currently publishes no advertising or affiliate links. If commercial relationships are introduced, they will be disclosed clearly with the affected content. Payment must not buy a position in an editorial ranking; sponsored placements must be identifiable.
Corrections and updates
Send a possible error to 0xaslamamin@gmail.com, including the article URL, the disputed statement and supporting evidence. We assess credible reports against the sources and correct confirmed factual errors.
A material correction carries a dated note explaining what changed. Updates that materially change a recommendation or conclusion are identified. Minor spelling, formatting or broken-link fixes may be made without a separate correction note. New evidence can lead us to revise a ranking.
No fixed response time is promised. Calling a ranking an opinion does not remove responsibility for its factual claims.
